Sugar Land, TX — Today, national security expert Sri Preston Kulkarni announced his second TV ad in the race for Texas’s toss-up 22nd Congressional District. The ad, “Mom,” highlights Kulkarni’s dedication to helping others, whether it’s coming home to take care of his family when his father was diagnosed with cancer, or helping our community overcome the coronavirus.
The ad also highlights Kulkarni’s commitment to putting politics aside and relying on science to combat the coronavirus. While Troy Nehls called mask mandates “un-American” and downplayed the virus, Kulkarni refused to play political games with Texans’ lives, focusing instead on how we can solve our community’s toughest problems.
“Mom” begins airing today on broadcast and cable as part of a seven-figure buy in the Houston media market.
“Voters across the district will see that Sri is a leader who puts others above himself, whether it’s his family or his community,” said Sri 2020 campaign manager Allen Chen. “Sri knows that to fight this pandemic effectively we must lead with science and reason. This is in stark contrast to Troy Nehls, who downplayed the virus and called mask mandates ‘un-American,’ playing politics with people’s lives. Texans are ready to move beyond partisan games and they’ve been waiting for a candidate like Sri.”
When my husband was diagnosed with cancer, Sri left college and came home to care for his dad.
Then he served 14 years overseas.
But when our country was sick, Sri came home again to help small businesses keep their doors open, to help get equipment for our doctors and nurses, and to help me, his 68-year old mom, who is scared of getting coronavirus.
Sri has always fought for our family, and in Congress I know he’ll fight for yours.
I’m Sri Preston Kulkarni, and I approve this message.
